How to make Mango Delight

Ingredients For Mango Delight Recipe

For the Biscuit Layer

• 1 packet digestive biscuits or tea biscuits
• 2 tablespoons melted butter

For the Cream Layer

• 1 cup chilled whipping cream
• ½ cup condensed milk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Mango Layer

• 2 cups fresh mango puree
• 2 ripe mangoes, diced
• 2 tablespoons sugar (optional)

For Garnishing

• Fresh mango cubes
• Chopped pistachios
• Sliced almonds
• Mint leaves (optional)

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Biscuit Base

Crush the biscuits into fine crumbs using a food processor or rolling pin. Mix the crumbs with melted butter until evenly combined.

Spread the mixture into a serving dish and press gently to create a firm base.

Place the dish in the refrigerator while preparing the remaining layers.

Step 2: Make the Cream Mixture

Pour chilled whipping cream into a mixing bowl and whip until soft peaks form.

Add condensed milk and vanilla extract.

Fold gently until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.

Avoid overmixing, as it may affect the light texture of the dessert.

Step 3: Prepare the Mango Mixture

Blend fresh mango flesh into a smooth puree.

Taste the puree and add sugar only if necessary, depending on the sweetness of the mangoes.

Reserve some diced mango pieces for layering and decoration.

Step 4: Assemble the Layers

Remove the biscuit base from the refrigerator.

Spread half of the mango puree over the biscuit layer.

Add the cream mixture and smooth the surface using a spatula.

Pour the remaining mango puree over the cream layer.

Top with diced mangoes for added texture and visual appeal.

Step 5: Chill Before Serving

Cover the dessert and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

For the best texture and flavor, allow it to chill overnight.

The resting time helps the layers set properly and enhances the overall taste.

Expert Tips for Perfect Mango Delight

Keep these in mind while you’re cooking. The quality of mangoes directly affects the final flavor. Select ripe, naturally sweet mangoes with vibrant color and strong aroma. On top of that, cold cream whips more effectively and creates a smoother texture. Beyond that, proper chilling allows the dessert to set and prevents layers from mixing together. It’s also worth noting that fresh mango puree provides a brighter flavor and natural sweetness compared to canned alternatives.

Storage Instructions

Store Mango Delight covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Avoid leaving it at room temperature for extended periods, especially during warm weather.

Freezing is possible, but refrigeration is recommended to maintain the creamy texture.
